I am always so surprised by how critical people are about their reviews. So I had to share our very pleasant experience. Yes it is an older ship, but well maintained. The crew were very friendly and helpful. The food was not great, but let's face it food quality on all lines have diminished. The days of fine dining quality are over unless you pay the premium price dining. Overall food was adequate, nothing bad, but nothing really good either. Our cabin was always clean, the attendant was excellent. Service and attitude of all we encountered was fantastic. The singer and dancer production shows were awesome, especially the 80s theme show. All in all, I paid for a Carnival Cruise on an older ship..and I got better than I expected. Sure I could have spent more for Celebrity, but for product value I must say they delivered well. Even though my no.1 choice of Cruise Lines is RCCL, I will book Carnival again. It is about managing your expectations.

My only complaint about Carnival are the other passengers. If only we could isolate the drunk and obnoxious folks so they didn't impede on others I would be even more happy.
