Embarkation started with a one of the most ridiculous systems for any cruise line that I have ever been apart of. Just like when you were in school...you had a person telling you where to sit, when to get up and reprimanding you when you moved to another location....totally ridiculous and very condescending especially when you just dropped about 10 to 15 K on this cruise. We enter the ship and no champagne...no welcome beverage...just a hello and welcome. Luxury cruise....HA !! We toured the ship and it was absolutely beautiful!! One if not the most beautiful ships I have ever seen.....they just had a refirb and they did a great job with that. Went to the buffet and it was top notch....service was very lax but since it was the first day I planned on giving them some time. The cabin was vey clean and pretty nice. Very small bathrooms but that's what I expected. Butler was a waste of time.....very unpolished and basically never saw him.

Food....oh my....every restaurant was spectacular. Best food that I have had on any ship. Creativity, freshness, and just some great presentations along with great flavors. The best. Common areas were horrible....when it came to being crowded. Every common space was overflowing....which is crazy for a luxury ship. The theater was the worst I have ever seen....chairs just thrown in a small room that was supposed to be a theater...never could find a seat....couldn't see anything because of their configuration.....just horrible .

The staff....I have been on Crystal, Seaborne and Silver Sea....I don't think I was ever told NO for special requests....on this ship I was told NO about 5 or 6 times....Tried to make an extra reservation for Toscana, their specialty Italian restaurant and was told NO 4 times....the guy running it was horrible and shouldn't be running a McDonald's. No clue about customer service....he was looking to be greased with some money but I don't play that when you spend 13 K for a cruise that doesn't even include alcoholic drinks. Read more
