Overall, we had a really good time on the cruise but most of that positive experience was not due to Carnival. Though we didn't hate anything about it (other than the entertainment which was down right pitiful) we were not impressed by the cruise line or the shop. This was our first Carnival cruise and very likely our last.
The only reason my rating for the overall cruise isn't lower is due to the amazing weather and great timing we had on this trip that resulted in seeing 40+ humpback whiles, two fin whales, a bear, bald eagles, a large sunfish, mountain goats and best of all - the Norther Lights. I overheard a crew member who was out watching the light show say the had been on board three months and never saw the Northern Lights.
Also, I will say that the food on board was decent. Some dishes in the main dining room were outsanding while others...and most of the buffet items...were mediocre at best.
Great cabin location but the furnishings were rather worn and tired.
Space needle, Pikes Place Market, etc. were all great. I was surpirsed at the number of homeless laying around in the parks and the trash on the streets here.
Quant town but mostly shopping for trinkets, jewelry and the like
Walked into town but mostly to stretch our legs than to see or experiece anything in particular. Very pretty city but not enough time to do much there.
