This was a business/fun trip for me and 20 of my co-workers. As we are checking in on the boat we are given a letter to let us know the air conditioning was not working. We could cancel at that point if we wanted to for a full refund or we could proceed knowing that the air was no working, but they were working on it. 21 of us had just flown in that morning to W Palm, cancelling at this point was not an option. We were hopeful the air would be fixed soon. We boarded around noon. there was no air conditioning any where. Not in the rooms, not in the restaurants, not in the hallways, no where. It was so miserably hot and there was no where to go for any kind of relief. Ice was hard to come by and water was only offered in tiny little cups. They did give a $50 credit and occasionally offered 2 for 1 drinks. Obviously trying to keep you intoxicated so you wouldn't keep focusing on how hot it was.

We had made reservations to eat at one of the restaurants that evening and although the food was good, it was soooo hot and so uncomfortable sweating the whole time you are eating. They did finally come on the speaker and tell us that it takes 4 compressors to cool the entire ship and only 2 of them were up at the moment. They were hoping to have the third and hopefully, the 4th up later in the evening. It is now approaching 8:30 9:00 pm. still no air. they did finally come back an tell us all air was up and fully functioning. However, the rooms were so hot, the super small amount of air coming out of the air conditioning vent never really cooled off the room to a comfortable level. Some slept on the deck. It was a long, hot, very uncomfortable night for me. I couldn't wait to get off the boat and hopefully get some relief at the resort.

We then stayed in the resort for 2 nights only to return to the cruise ship with only partial air conditioning AGAIN!! Some of the folks in our party had air, but several did not. Some were able to get a fan. Some were not. One of our co workers went to her room only to find someone already in it. Then after going to customer service to get another room, all that was left was a room with no air and there were no more fans. She was told if you aren't happy with that you can choose to stay on the island. REALLY!!!. Again, that is not really an option. The worst customer service I have ever seen. Imagine staying in this small confined space with no air, no windows to open, no fan to at least move the air. Inhumane living conditions if you ask me, but they get away with it, because its the only way you can get back to the US.
