Our group of seven ranged in age from 8-67 years and all have been on cruises before. We found the ship friendly and easy to get around. We never do ship arranged excursions as we prefer to find our own transportation out of port due to more reasonable prices. All ports were easy to access and return from except for Santorini which was a GONG SHOW! This is to be expected (somewhat) due to the fact that it is high on a cliff but we waited up top in a long hot line for over an hour (2 hrs before the posted final tender) in order to get on the gondola to come down. Some travellers were too hot in the line so decided to walk and two broke their ankles on the trip down. Maybe they need to limit the number of ships in at once. Three was clearly too many the island to handle! The other ports were wonderful but the Santorini experience crushed all my visions of what I'm sure is a beautiful island in off season.
Positives - staff was friendly and the entertainment team was hilarious. Kids club for ages 6-8 was great and our daughter couldn't wait to participate. We don't normally do the buffet but this one was really very good! Our dining room attendant Leonard was very good! He was helpful in suggesting the best dishes and never led us astray.....and we love our food! The pool area was fun and there was always a lot going on.
Negatives - overpriced drinks! I know it is Europe so I expect to pay more but prices on the Disney cruise were cheaper! They wanted $14 for a Bacardi rum and coke. You could get top shelf for that price on Disney. The teen club was TERRIBLE. Our son (13) gets along with everyone and is always eager to go to the teen clubs on ships but this one was dead! He went to the start of every event for the first two days and nobody ever showed up. They need to do more to encourage young teens to attend early on so that the club gets going....prizes or something. Carnival and Disney have way better teen clubs that were always packed!
