We just returned from a Baltic Cruise aboard the Celebrity Eclipse. The cruise was excellent. The ship is beautiful- very clean and well maintained. We had an inside cabin which was actually quite big! We were use to small inside cabins and were pleasantly surprised when we first opened the door and saw the size of the room. Lots of room to move around in, lots of storage, and the bathroom was big- very easy to maneuver in! We had assigned dining and ate in the Moonlight Sonata Dining Room most nights. The food was excellent! We also ate at the buffet for breakfast, afternoon tea, and late suppers. The food here was also great!
Entertainment was some of the best we have seen on any cruise. Night after night was terrific! A special shout out to the absolute best cruise director- Sue! She is fabulous and adds so much to the experience! All the staff was excellent!
We did not book any excursions with the ship. We went with SPB Tours in St Petersburg, Berlin, Tallinn, Helsinki, and Stockholm. We did Brugge and Copenhagen on our own. This tour company is outstanding and I would recommend it. Small groups, very well organized, excellent guides, and much better pricing than the ship's excursions.
Beautiful city but not much time here. Took free shuttle from ship to road, then walked to tram stop. It was a Sunday so we had to buy our tickets from a shop owner who happened to be out in the front of her store with the tickets. Took tram to train station. Took train to Brugge. Lots of walking and took a boat ride- do this. Had to ruch back to the train so we could get on the 2:04 train to get us back to tram and ship on time. The ship should have been in port a bit longer.
Beautiful city! Very walkable and doable on your own!
