Beautiful ship and didn't seem to be crowded in spite of 3200+ passengers on board. Weather was great and warm. The boarding was delayed about 5 hours because the Coast Guard closed the port due to heavy fog when the ship was returning from the previous cruise. Ship finally arrived about 1 PM, but we did not board until 5PM. Cruise line credited all passengers with $20 credit to their accounts to offset the fact that we were not able to get lunch on the ship. The Royal Caribbean personnel at the terminal ordered 500 box lunches to feed some of the people. They also provided tours of Galveston at the expense of cruise line, if you wanted to take advantage of it. We didn't since we had spent the night in Galveston and didn't want to go back out again.
We also got our fuel surcharge credited to our account too, since the price of fuel has gone down. ($140 total).
Food in the dining room was pretty good, however, service was slow. We have been on many RC cruises and definitely got the impression that they have cut back on their help. Our cabin steward did a great job. Food in the Windjammer on deck 11 was pretty good. We usually ate breakfast and lunch there.
