We have normally cruised from Southampton but on this occasion it suited to depart on a certain day from LGW and the Epic fitted the bill.We picked up our Ba flight to Rome which was all ok,little disorganized on arrival at Rome airport, had to pick up our own cases and then porter them quite some distance to the coach when the inept rep eventually located it!
We had a journey which was ok to embarkation we were initially shown in no direction and had to go in a different way to current passengers so about turn in blazing heat which left a few disgruntled people,no drinks on trays offered as on previous cruises.
So not the best start, cabin was ready on arrival and had plenty of storage, wouldn't bother with a mini suite as not much different to a plain balcony.
Fair size average balcony 2chairs and 2 small tables.Curtain only cordons off loo and shower which are behind glass sliding doors both worked well, basin is in bedroom.very large comfy bed although bedding could have been changed more frequently.Only ever 2 coffee sachets left although we requested extra.sockets right at back under dressing table could be difficult for older passengers, extension may prove useful if you have I-pads,telephones etc.
Balconies overlooked lifeboats below.
Tendering from ship no problems Cannes very interesting port well worth a visit.
Just got off in port as only half day felt ripped off by transfer buses not really long enough to do everything
Been to Barcelona many times but sadly a Sunday and no market open which is our favorite thing in Barcelona but few shops were open and small market plenty of boat trip a available.
Poor reception on arrival at airport confusion about ccach whereabouts and ended up dragging cases some distance.
