Cabin: Aft-View Extended Balcony

Found out that I am NOT a cruise person! Did not like it at all. The cabin (#8477) was nice and plenty of room but the larger balcony was not worth the extra cost, in fact, if I had to do it again, I would just get a room with a window. The pools were so small, they were smaller than the pool in my back yard which is 20 x 40, so that tells you how small the pools are. People were just standing in the pools with their drinks and spilling them all over. Would not want to touch that water.

They catered to little kids more than anything. The only places people could smoke on the ship were the casino and the Vibe Lounge - so, we could not go to those places as they were so full of smoke. In the morning we would get up and go to the buffet which for the most part was good except the bacon was NASTY, it looked as if it wasn't cooked all the way and the grease was just dripping off of it. They should have done something to soak up the grease, I would not touch it. In the Northern dining room 3 times I tried ordering a baked potato and each time they were cold and hard in the middle - the butter would not melt! So, I finally gave up on a baked potato for the rest of the trip.

The drinks were expensive especially considering the price we paid for our room ($2,700 that included trip insurance). Beer $6.85, frozen drinks $10-11. Remember they charge an additional $12.00 per person per day for tipping, well that does not include tipping for anything that is NOT included, such as, your drinks, you are automatically charged an additional 15% for each drink and they leave that nice little space to add an additional tip. The drink packages were $350 per person and if one person in the cabin wanted to purchase the drink package then everyone in the cabin would have to order it and I rarely drink, so, there was no way we were going to pay $700 for a drink package for 2 people.

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8N

Our cabin was nice and wasn't small at all. We paid extra for a larger balcony but that was NOT worth the extra money. If I had known, I would have saved my money and just got a room with a window.
