We have only been on 1 other cruise ( Princess). We did not like the set up/feel of the Jewel as well as Princess. It felt very crowded in public spaces. Overall the ship was not as clean as it should have been. EX: bathrooms w/ TP on the floor & smelling like urine.

The food was disappointing as well. This was an expensive cruise, but the food was mediocre, not what you would consider "gourmet" or special. We had prime rib one night that was brought to my husband raw. YUCK. At the special "gaucho style" restaurant the chicken & lamb were wonderful but the beef was again, raw. The server didn't understand what medium meant and brought out well done beef. On the buffet there was an assortment-BUT-it was pretty much the same everyday.

The crew & room steward were wonderful. Everyone we came in contact with were courteous & more than willing to help. Entry into ports & coming back to the ship were effortless & stress free.

Cabin seemed clean but had evidence of wear & tear.
