We are two retired couples and frequent cruisers - usually on Carnival. We traveled to New Orleans the day before and stayed at the Astor Crowne Plaza for $113 (Hotwire).

We normally get to the port about 10:30, but traffic exiting the ship was horrendous and we didn't park until after 11. We love the Erato Street terminal parking - what can be better than dropping off luggage, parking, and just taking the elevator to the ship?

Priority boarding was a breeze; our room was ready and luggage was delivered within the hour.

Always love the cove balconies. Quiet and close to mid elevators.
