My husband and I left our young kids with family and took this cruise just the two of us. We wanted to relax, have time alone and see Alaska. We got it all.

We flew to Seattle the day before and stayed at the Crown Plaza, booked through Norwegian. They picked up our suitcases in the morning and we bussed to the port. It was smooth and easy and we were on the boat within an hour of leaving the hotel.

We enjoy food, though I wouldn't consider us foodies, and I have a sensitive stomach so I was wary of eating too many rich foods. We enjoyed the Tsar's Palace dining room, but the one night we ate at Azzure, we both hated it. It was loud and crowded and our waitress only spoke to me and messed up our orders twice, probably because it was so loud. Tsar's, on the other hand was quieter and relaxing and we were usually lucky enough to get a window seat.

It was a connecting room, but we never heard our neighbors at all. In fact, it was a quiet cabin. We did sleep with a white noise app on our phones, because that is what we do at home.
