This was our third Princess cruise and have also cruised many times with Celebrity.
The cruise itinerary was excellent but we were disappointed with the Royal compared to other Princess ships like Diamond and the Celebrity ships we have been on. Considering that Royal is a relatively new ship [ 5 years old ] we felt let down because -
[1] Vibration throughout the ship was excessive. At night, especially if going through some seas, rattled everything in the cabin from the ceiling joins to the bedside lamps. In the day, in the piazza bar staff were warning us about sitting in the middle seats due to vibration [ when the ship was stationery! ]
The cabin was very good as expected, excepting for excessive rattling caused by vibration. we discussed this with another passenger on the same deck whose cabin was a forward balcony, and which had the same vibration problems.
