I had read a lot of reviews of the NCL Sun prior to going (many of them not good) and I found all to be wrong. The ship was in great shape, well maintained - looked new - the staff was excellent.

The Shore excursions were amazing (dog mushing, zodiac driving, Ice climbing on a glacier, Zip - lines, ATV driving). The NCL staff is incredible (take the behind the scenes tour on your day at sea!). The scenery and wildlife make this a fantastic destination - We saw bear, moose, eagles, whales, fox, salmon, seals, caraboo - fantastic scenery as well.

The food in the specialty restaurants was excellent - the Brazilian was my favorite (lamb to die for, fried plantains). The regular buffet was crowded - timing was key, there was a pizza/pasta/sandwich buffet that was fast and really good. the seated dining was high quality and had a good variety. The room service was very good - the kids loved the pizza.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MX

We had a forward facing mini suite - same view as the ships camera. Right below the bridge. A bit tight for 4, but overall excellent. We had the perfect cabin for when the ship pulled up to the glaciers ( stunning). The bathroom was huge and the closet well sized
