This was our fourth family cruise with Royal Caribbean (RCI) and we were all super excited about exploring the Baltics on ‘Serenade of the Seas’ 05-12 July, 2015.

Opting for the extra acreage we had booked an ‘Owners Suite’ and were allocated 1058 just off the Centrum. It’s immediately below the entrance and outdoor area of the Windjammer all day dining restaurant which you will discover when the cleaners get there at 0400-0500 each morning.

On arrival at port in Stockholm we joined the extremely long queue to drop luggage. Why RCI doesn’t take a leaf out of the airline book and provide a better system for premium paying passengers is beyond me but it is what it is.

The acreage is appreciated but the decor and preventative maintenance is dreadful. The balcony was filthy, bathroom covered in mould and curtains threadbare.
