Just got off our Alaskan cruise after staying in the Haven suite. Talk about great service. From the moment we checked in, in the VIP lounge, to lunch in Cagneys and to be greeted by the butler, Bagus who knew our names from the first day. The Haven is the way to go. The room is huge and easily fit 5. It looks nicer in person than online! Even when it was raining, the kids were able to go swimming in the covered priviate pool area. Also by staying in the Haven, you get to eat breakfast and lunch with just the other suite guests in Moderno Churrascaria resturant. No waiting or looking for tables.
The only slight downside, to this cruise and not to the room, would be the kids club. It was mostly free play and the game room is small for so many kids on board. It was nice when the rock wall opened, but that was only when it was non-windy/rainy. I only saw it opened twice.
The shows were ok. " swing" was ok, the comic and magic shows were better and "legends" was entertaining.
Go for the Haven if you can..
Got in the night before. Checked out the Space Needle- which looks great at night. Walked around. Next morning for a shuttle for the 1.5 drive to the pier. Able to check right in. It seemed a bit confusing from one line to the next but was able to hang out in the VIP lounge and avoid to mass lines
Once you get to port there is only one gift shop. If you want to walk downtown then walk to the right of the gift shop/ ship ( facing away from both) . Walk about 4-5 blocks to Belleville and take a left. Follow that to the end. You will pass a Starbucks and store and make your way to the Parliament Building. Make sure to go back into Customs for a passport stamp!
