This was our first cruise, we went with our daughter and son in law, we flew from salt lake city to Seattle, we stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites, we stayed there one night then they took us right to the ship, then after they picked us up at the ship and took us back to the airport which was great!

When we got on board we were thrilled with Jewel Of The Sea, we found our cabin and it was great, we had a balcony and it was so good to take some relax time and sit out there and just enjoy. We loved going to the big buffet to eat, the food was great and had everything that you could want. But our most favorite was going to our 8:00 pm reservation in the Tides Dining Room at table 462, our servers were fantastic! we learned to love them, and they went the extra mile every night to make our dining very very enjoyable. Our activities on board, we went to the art auction which was interesting, we went to the comedy show which was ok, and we went to the tribute to Neil Diamond which we really enjoyed.

In Juneau we took the combo tour Whale watching and Mendenhall Glacier it was beautiful and the whales were exciting and our guide was very good. In Victoria we went on the hunt for the great Orca Whale, oh my , the ride was very ruff but our guide worked very hard to get us to the whales and they were fantastic, what a sight, very well worth the ride. The only complaint we have is the drink package we purchased when we boarded the ship, we did not use it and it cost us 20.00 a day , which we did not understand at the time. But we had a wonderful time, one we will remember for a long time, thank you Jewel Of The Sea!
