We had a beautiful cabin- but with finger breaking hooks to open drawers.The ship is 2 years old- ample time for management to correct this simple-to-fix defect. The cuisine was bad, even by Costa standards. We had table 385 in the Gattopardo restaurant. Excellent waiter, a menu set out by its Chef which was sheer poetry. Only the food did not match it. Except for the standard tagliatelle bolognesi , potato puree, and ice cream, almost everything else was substandard. Why employ a real chef when any dishhand would do? Breakfast at that restaurant was absolutely chaotic. Waiters galore floating around doing nothing and trying to justify their presence. One had to block one to place an order. Chaos at its best. No coffe could be had with desert at restaurant tables, coffee being the preserve of the bars. And the self service restaurant obliged by closing its coffee machines throughout the day except for breakfast to herd the passengers to the bars to be charged for it. The port shuttles were not free but an expensive extra. And to make things worst one was forced to buy tickets beforehand and not when boarding the buses. To summarize : the management is not customer orientated or could not care less. So why does Costa put up with it?
