My husband and Itook this trip as cruise of a lifetime. Although this Ship is the oldest in the NCL fleet, we were attracted by the itinerary. We were not disappointed. After being on previous cruises on much newer and larger ships, we enjoyed the quaintness of the Spirit. It was a change from having to deal with much larger crowds. Although the room decor was a little dated, all in all the cabin was very clean. Our cabin Steward Mark, was very pleasant and curteous. The food in Raffles, the buffet, was rather average. There is not much of a selection and they very rarely changed it up if at all. Specialty Restaurants are pretty good. Both Cagney's and the Bistro have very good meals to choose from. Entertainment all over the ship is average as well with the best probably being the talent from the variety shows. Of the other performers, Jefferson is the best. A one man show with a great voice and music from all gendres. Gio is the best Cruise Director ever. So full of energy and so funny. Adriano is great to be around as well. He made trivia sessions so much fun with his unique laugh.

All staff on board are pleasant and curteous as well as very friendly. They all go out of their way to help.

Best thing about this cruise is the itinerary. It can't be beat for the price. If you are looking to be on the go and wanting to visit all the hi lights of the different countries, this is the cruise for you. Venice, Rome, Florence, Pisa, all beautiful and full of history. Just loved Pompeii. It should not be missed. Istanbul is beautiful as well, but driving there has to be the most crazy in all of Europe. Skip the walking and meal tour in Florence and do The Florence and Pisa on your own tour. You are then able to take in the sights that you want to see as well as sample the local food. Many venues to choose from and prices are all reasonable there. If you prefer, there is no need for a tour in Mykonos or Toulon neither for both are very accessible from the port. Mykonos is small but pretty. Toulon has a large "Shopping Mall" right across the street from the Port. Great outdoor market as well. Rome and the Vatican tour is worth it, although the meal is not authentic to Rome. We are able to eat meat and potatoes at home and we were hoping for something more traditional to Rome. Best bang for your dollar is Athens, probably due to the poor economy, but shopping in the Plaka is great.

Cabin OB

Loved this cabin location. Just down the hall from Champagne Charlies" and the photo gallery. Very close to elevator and stairs, yet no noise can be heard at all. One floor down is the Blue Lagoon, the 24 hour venue where you can get wings and many other things. Cabin is small, but more than efficient for two people.
