Just returned from the cruise to Bermuda leaving from New York on today. I have been on four cruises with Norwegian. Some points, the food was excellent in all the speciality restaurant s with Cagneys being the best of the best. We are in the Manhattan room only once which was okay. I had the ultimate dining plan, made reservations in advance online, no problem. Many people did not make reservations for dinner and shows in advance and they could not get into many venues. Your fault if you did not have common sense to expect that on a ship with 4,000 people that it would be a good idea to make reservations early. The ship is very big which is good as it never feels overcrowded except for the pool deck which was a nightmare. I did not spend any time there as I had a Vibe Beach Club pass, which are very difficult to get but a must if you don't like crowds. We did breakfast tn Savor which was quiet and civilized. Also ate a few times in the buffet which is crowded and pushy. Some people acted like it was their last meal, rude and pushy. Food in the buffet was going with a large variety for breakfast. Did not use buffet for any other meals except lunch maybe twice after an excursion ashore. Staff onboard were all friendly, helpful and courteous. Never encountered one staff person who was negative in any way. The are very busy, would not want their jobs! My opinion regarding the complaints seem to stem from people who either never cruised before and people who did not read any information prior to sailing. For example, one guy was at guest services complaining about the daily gratuity charge as if he did not know about it. The cruise documents clearly state that everyone will be charged this fee. People don't read the tons of information available, and then complain about their lack of preparation in reviews by blaming the cruise line. I also noticed people onboard making statements about how things work on a ship when they obviously have no idea what they are talking about. Example, the woman who was complaining that there was no access to a certain restaurant by steps, and had to be told to take the elevator and press the button for the deck thr restaurant was on. You can't make this up. Some things can be improved on the ship, minor things, but overall it was an excellent cruise. Best tip...make all reservations in advance online for dinner and shows and you will have no problems getting in at the time you want.

Cabin Review

Studio Stateroom

Studio was bigger than expected. Adequate for one person. Did not like the lack of a window. Could not tell when it was morning. Other than that it was good, and the studio lounge was convenient as it is equipped with a cappuccino machine, wine vending machine, cakes and cookies, water and orange juice, and beverage vending machine. Nice.
