This was our first ever cruise. We enjoyed every part of the voyage as well as learned a great deal. The Viking Star is a beautiful ship and her crew was most accommodating. We enjoyed the food as well as the dinning atmosphere. Our cabin was large and quite roomy, the steward took care of our every need. All the entertainment was enjoyable from professional theater, staff production, movies, and TED Talks
Almost all the local guides were very knowledgeable and attentive. We particularly enjoyed Alexander in Russia and Tiina in Tallinn. In Berlin I felt we were terribly rushed and the guide skipped over the most interesting places such as the Wall and the actual Check Point Charley. For those of us of a certain age these were the reason for going to Berlin. The same for Poland, the Ship Yards needed to be seen not just the crane pointed out while flying down the highway from a very far distance.
Over all we had a wonderful time and are planning another cruse with Viking very soon.
Very nice. I especially appreciated the robe and coffee maker. Our steward keep our water fresh and everything else supplies and neat.
