This was our second time on the Gem and we had a great time. We ate when we wanted, participated when we wanted and relaxed when we wanted, what more could you ask for. We enjoy the freestyle, eat when you want, so we can be flexible. Some nights we dressed and some we stayed in shorts. The entertainment was excellent for a ship, the cruise director, Dan Dan was very good ( he can sure sing). Service was great. I really enjoyed the French restaurant but was disappointed with the food in the Italian restaurant. The buffet menu changed everyday so you could always find something you liked. If you can take a balcony room, great place to relax and get away from the action.

All employees were friendly and helpful. The ship is clean and the cabin steward did a great job keeping the room fresh.

Embarkation was much better this time but Custom Clearance in NY took forever. Read more
