My husband and I were surprised by our daughter Julie and her husband Will with the trip of a lifetime, an Alaskan cruise. Along with them and their 2 children, Catherine 10 and Matthew 6 1/2, we embarked in Seattle, Washington on the MS Westerdam on July 4, 2015. I am disabled so Julie had arranged for an electric cart on board, which was waiting for us so I could use it to embark. Everyone was so helpful; we embarked very quickly.
The perfect experience for a first cruise or any cruise. I was overwhelmed with the beauty and comfort of the Westerdam. My husband and I felt so welcomed and doted on by the crew, whom we fell in love with by the time we had been there a couple of days. Thank you to Yasa and Nova and Joseph in the dining room. The food choice was unbelievable and delicious. I told Yasa about my chicken allergy so every night I chose my menu for the following night so it could be prepared chicken free. Each night they provided amazing origami for the kids.
Our staterooms were impeccable, thanks to Juli and Ricardo. We even had towel animals every evening when they came to turn down the beds.
Very excellent!!! Clean and plenty big. Loved the relaxing colors of the decor. Very comfortable.
