We were on the Carnival Pride July 12-19 and had a great vacation. We had done the same ship and itinerary in 2013 and loved the new upgrades. It was just myself, three sons ages 9,12 and 14 along with my parents in their 70's. I had an inside cabin for 4 (king and bunk beds). Space was tight, but cabin was well laid out and made the most of it. Bathroom was large given the overall space. We didn't spend much time in the cabin!

Both times we were on Deck 1 outside room. The carpets had all been replaced and you could see a difference in all the common areas. The cabins were still the same which is fine. Overall the ship is very clean and the staff very friendly.

Meals in MDR were just OK, but we don't pick a ship for food. Our criteria is location, both port and islands. We are within driving distance of Baltimore and it couldn't me easier to get on and off the ship. The lobster in MDR was the best. The rest of the food was good just nothing special. Our waiters were very nice but not the amazing level we had on other ships. It seemed that they had too many tables and worked so hard but didn't have the time to give you individualized attention. We had early dining and it was so much better than the Anytime Dining we had previously. I loved having the same table and staff and not having to wait. If you want a drink (alcohol/soda), bring it in with you into the MDR. I don't know if it was where our table was located, but by the time the bar staff came to get drink orders we didn't get our drinks until well into the main meal. The Mermaid Grill (Lido deck) was good too with many options. Pizza was good late night. My favorites were the addition of Guy's burgers and the Mexican station next to the pool. I loved the breakfast burritos! Both were fresh and delicious. A great new addition. We did not try the steak house but heard it was excellent.

Cabin 6A

We had a king bed and bunk beds for 1 adult and 3 kids. There wasn't much walking space and only place to sit was on the bed (sofa was the lower bed). However, all our stuff fit and the room was very clean.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

Love the ease of walking off the boat and either picking a lounger at the beach or Margairttaville pool. Walk down the beach to Jack's Shack and enjoy the best Jerk Chicken sandwiches and a nicer beach. Beautiful day. My only complaint is that they need to be in port longer!

Baltimore

So easy to get on and off the ship from I-95.
