Ship is spectacular; well laid out; numerous sitting areas so one did not feel crowded; activities were varied: movies, lectures, cooking class, library for reading the supplied books, jogging track, work out machines, spa was my favorite with all the different pools and tubs; loved the mini museum of Viking items. Looked forward to receiving the "Viking Daily" with news and information for the next day. Cabin had good amount of room, although more drawer space is always welcome. I had one of the smaller rooms compared to the room next to mine. That cabin was an extra 3' wider, thus had space for a 6-drawer dresser. Made good use of the mini-bar and enjoyed the veranda more than I thought I would. The cabin service was tops! Towels changed twice daily, turn down service in the evening, nice touch.

The shore excursions were very typical, I had some good, interesting and clever story-telling guides. The ship and all those employees were the best.

Now, about my flights that Viking booked for us. An "F" rating. I flew from Seattle to Stockholm. We flew from Seattle to Portland Oregon, then on a long haul to Stockholm, that added an extra 3hrs flight time as well as 4 extra hours sitting in the terminal. Not a good use of my time! Then on the return, we were booked from Helsinki to Paris, going south; then the flight from Paris to Seattle flew back NORTH! Again, not a good use of my time, 13 hrs on two flights.
