This was our first cruise and everything about it was first class from our original booking contact with Viking to our disembarkation. Prior to our embarkation we had a number of questions and always found the contact person to be knowledgeable and courteous. The trip itself was outstanding. The ship was absolutely beautiful, quite comfortable, and offered a wide variety of spaces to enjoy/things to do. A number of dining options were available offering a wide variety of excellent food beautifully presented, and always top notch service. Shore excursion guides were excellent in both their knowledge and spoken English.

As a person who likes organization, I was very impressed with the organization of everything from our airline reservations to shore excursions and extended tours. If there was any type of snag, Viking was quick to rectify it in some way.

My only suggestion for Viking would be to be more explicit when describing excursion options for each port. We found that some tours overlapped and you saw the same thing twice when you could have gone somewhere totally different. Still, overall it was a wonderful trip, and I wouldn't travel with another cruise line.

The cabin was well appointed, bed very comfortable, bathroom quite adequate in size, and all were well maintained by our steward
