The Viking Star is a beautiful ship. Our cabin was outstanding, we had a suite on level 3 and it was perfectly appointed, the outer deck was very large and we had great views during the cruise. The staff was absolutely outstanding, every place we dined, the staff were very attentive and took great care of whatever we needed. We enjoyed all of the dining experience and especially liked the Italian restaurant. Or butler did such a great job and was so attentive, always happy to help us with anything we needed. We enjoyed all the ports for the most part but some of the shore excursions were not as interesting as I might have expected. But for the most part they were good. We also enjoyed the lectures, very informative. The cooking demonstration was fabulous and wish they had done more that the the one we went to. A few things that I think you need to add, you need to have music in the room, at least have some music channels in the TV or have a docking station for an Ipod, but music would be a great addition. Also, you should have some way of hearing the announcements on the ship while in your room, it was very inconvenient to have to open the door and try to listen to what was being announced over the ships speakers, possibly a nob that you could turn the volume on or off as needed so you could hear announcements in the cabins. I was also disappointed that there was no organized bridge lessons or play, I am a newer bridge player but nearly all cruises I know about have had organized bridge play. Look forward to your expanded fleet of ships to other destinations.
Outstanding except for no music, couldn't hear the ships announcements, would have loved ESPN on the TV
