Just returned from an incredible cruise. My wife and I are in our 40's and we loved the Northbound cruise on the Sun. We both compared our notes and I'm sharing them with you now. Hope this helps with your cruise planning.
What we liked:
- Everyone on the ship was friendly and polite. People were going out of their way to make sure you enjoyed your vacation. They were hospitable and responded well to requests (in general).
Cabin Review
Mid-Ship Oceanview Porthole Window
As stated before, we save money on the room and splurge on excursions. I was mildly surprised with the window. It let in nice light and helped prepare us for what to wear (raining or sunny). Nice to look at the scenery. The room was clean and very well. kept. I would probably only suggest a few things:
1 - Add an On-Demand, where the TV watcher can choose a movie to watch. Nice way to unwind late at night.
2 - Provide the outside weather on the TV and what the forecast for the destination is...sort of weird that this was not available through the TV.
3 - Add more shelving and hanging options or configurations. I liked the height of the bed to accommodate sliding the larger roller luggage underneath.
4 - Add a tiny, dimmable, night-light to see the bathroom door handle or light switches.
5 - Add chargers to both sides of the bed head so that my wife and I can charge our phones separately and use our phone alarms.
6 - Couldn't hear hardly any PA announcements from our room. So don't know what we were missing.
