I have nothing but good things to say about our cruise on the Navigator of the Seas. Room This was the first time we had a balcony. We didn't use the balcony that much but we did enjoy the extra space for the two of us. The bathroom was a "pod" which makes it a bit tight if you're a large person, but the pod is better than the clingy shower curtains! They provide a cheap shampoo and bar soap, so if you want anything else, bring it. Our room steward was Mari Grace and she was fantastic. Ship All areas were in good shape, no maintenance issues. Beware of the brown tile and flooring around the pools...it gets very hot! Spent most of our time in the solarium. Chairs are more comfortable there. Food Food was great...no issues. We ate in the Sapphire most nights. Great service with Rey and Natalia. Everything was cooked well and many in our group had double portions...no issues. Windjammer was very good for breakfast and lunch. Lots to choose from. We did eat in Sabor one night. Got a deal for $20 instead of $25. LOTS of food and it was very good. Entertainment All of the shows were fantastic. Can't say enough and the Metropolis theater was very comfortable. Ports We rented a car in Cozumel and drove around ourselves since we were familiar with the island. We did the stingray city/dolphin encounter in GC. The pics for stingrays were $60 for all pics (about 20) but the dolphins were very expensive...$35 for one or $35 x each member of your group for all of the pics. I would advise definitely doing an excursion in Falmouth. Nothing to do outside of the pier area which is very touristy. We took a city trolley tour for an hour and then returned to the ship. Internet They have several packages..with my gold member discount it was $149(?) for unlimited for one device or $189 for unlimited for two devices. I purchased the two device package and we all shared it. It is SLOW and not much use for anything other than e-mails. Embarkation was a breeze---went right on about noon . We took a case of water with us--gave it to the porter with a tip. No problems. Many people were taking water/sodas onboard. Disembarkation was easy as well. The earliest groups started at 7:15 and we were in the last group (21) and were off at 9:30. You have to be out of your room by 8:30. Ship transfers---We used LJ at http://www.cruiseshipshuttle.com/ Very inexpensive, $140 each way for 8 of us! Prompt and personable! Other companies were quoting us $300 each way.
