Booked this Celebrity Cruise based on my other experience on travelling on the Celebrity Century four years ago. This vacation was a mixed bag, especially on the ship which I will go through -
Entertainment -
The entertainment offering was dreadful - the worst I have ever seen at sea (compared to P&O, Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean). The first night we didn't; bother even seeing, someone playing music for 45 minutes - I'd expect this to be shown in a lounge now a theatre. The following night was a singer, again really bad and the shows singers were far superior than her. The next nights was the most laughable, Celebrity throughout it would be a good idea to have two separate acts, both of them were men and did singing, playing instruments and told a few jokes, yet perhaps it was ok for one night but both acts were so similar it was a joke. And to add salt into the wound, Celebrity thought it was an even better idea to have on another night in the theatre two acts both on the same night - so they managed to eek it out even more! There were only 2 shows on the 10 night cruise, I think this too is deplorable. The Reflection the show was ok - wouldn't agree it was the "best show at sea" which they kept plugging as it was the circus style acts along with singing - the dancers and singers have so much talent yet I have no idea why they only do 2 shows. Celebrity would be better to have a separate show with the acrobats, and not just throw everything they can do in one show (i.e there is room for so much potential with the stage and the dancers yet they don't utilise it).
