This was our third cruise with Uniworld and was a really great experience with a most interesting program each day. We travelled down the Rhine from Basel, up and down the Mosel, then along the Rhine to Amsterdam.

We travelled in October and just missed the grape harvest but saw some beautiful autumn colors which made up for the cooling temperatures. Cruising the Mosel and seeing the Rhine castles again were wonderful experiences. The villages and cities along this route are exceptional and historically so interesting that a longer stay in the area would be worth thinking about.

We had two wine tastings, one in the upper Mosel at Ediger-Eller with a first generation wine maker, Stefanie Vornhecke, and one at the Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler cellar in Bernkastel. We were shown some really nice rieslings.
