We had not sailed with Holland America for three years. We were really happy to be back on a Holland America ship, especially the Rotterdam, which is one of the flagships of the fleet.

The itinerary was great! The fjords were just beautiful and all ports visited were very interesting. Our only disappointment was missing the port of Bergen. (The captain’s explanation seemed to have as much to do with a disagreement with the harbor-master as it did with the wind conditions, though we certainly would never argue with the captain!).

We had largely good weather the first half of the cruise, though some rain and fog the second half of the cruise. Read more
