Let me first start by saying that this is my 6th cruise. I have gone on 2 Royal Caribbean, 1 Disney, and this was my 3rd Carnival.
Embarkation
We arrived early to the port, as we are used to long lines and long waits to get on a cruise ship. The Port of New Orleans was fantastic! We had minimal to zero waiting to get through security, get our keys, and then getting on the ship. We have never had that happen!!

We didn't take an excursion in this port. We did some sight seeing on our own the day before.
The Port of New Orleans is fast, clean, and efficient! The quickest we have ever gotten on and off a cruise ship!
