Balcony; was one of the best we have had. Toilet had plenty of room and a shower with a door was an improvement. The shower itself was also powerful and different to what we have become accustomed. The actual balcony area was very small and could just about seat 2 and was the poorest we have experienced, Entertainment; on the whole was very average but Mike Walker was an very good. The show times at 7 and 9 did not suit many and certainly was difficult if you were on late dining. The main area was the very crowded Centrum with limited room and seating. There was not much else going on elsewhere and the Sky was generally a karaoke free for all most nights, nothing organised as such. Dining, after 2 nights we gave up and never went again, It took 30 minutes to get a menu the first night and 70 minutes to get the main course. The second night was nearly just as bad. We gave up after that. Prices and Gratuities; When we saw the prices for drinks and water we opted for the Premium Package. Water was £4.30 a litre and a G&T $9.90. A draught beer was classed as Premium Package or you have to pay well over the odds. Gratuities were a staggering 18% and also $12 each was added to the account each day. Pool Area was well maintained and towels were constantly being removed. The bar service was poor and it was a case of helping yourself. Public Rooms; well maintained and toilets were very clean and generally excellent. A good touch was the personal individual hand towels. Account; on 3 occasions we had to ring Reception and complain about charges that should not have been added. On one occasion we had to ring again and chase a credit despite being assured it would be dealt with the first time. Cafe Coffee Shop; had lovely staff and nice snacks but that service was the exception. We have cruised with RCI, NCL, P&O and all have their positives. There appeared to be a class system and many no-go public areas and restaurants and yet we booked an fairly expensive balcony cabin. We did complain to Celebrity and had a bland reply after some 3 weeks. They pointed out that it is normal to tip in the USA up 15% and up to 25% in New York. This was a Mediterranean cruise and we do tip but object to pre-tipping on the assumption we will get good service. In the case it was poor service on the whole. Do not think we will be tempted again
