We sailed on the Reflection (along with another couple) for its inaugural cruise in October of 2012 and it is every bit as good as we remembered it. In addition, my husband and I have also sailed on the Equinox for a trans-Atlantic crossing in April of 2014. We love Celebrity and have in fact signed up for another crossing on the Reflection in October of 2016. The last two trips have been in Aqua class (and frankly, we will always book Aqua again -- especially for Blu). I believe that you get out of travel what you put into it. Be nice to the staff (give tips for great service) and the staff will go out of their way for you.

Embarkation in Civitavecchia was flawless. We virtually walked on board after checking in around 12:00. On some previous reviews some people complained that the ship held their passports. Not so with us. (Could be because we are U.S. citizens.) Yes, there is a tent there -- but you only stop to briefly fill out the health form and then proceed on. Once on board, we were greeted with the traditional glass of champagne and went to the library to wait for our rooms. They announced that the rooms would be ready by 1:00 p.m. -- and they were. We stopped for a quick lunch in the Ocean View Cafe. No problem getting a table for four. I think the quality of food there is excellent. Our luggage came by 3:00 p.m.

Our room attendants were excellent. After the first day they greeted us by name and often unlocked the door for us before we even had a chance to take out the key. The first day our neighbors in the next cabin were playing music in their room with a bit too much bass. We mentioned it to the attendant and and never had the issue again. (I believe this was discreetly handled.)

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

Cabin A2

This is a wonderful cabin. It is in the front of the ship very close to the Relaxation lounge. It is below the hair salon so it is very quiet. However, it is at the other end of the ship from the food, so be prepared to walk.

Port Reviews

Rhodes

Great place to visit on your own. Be prepared to walk and climb stairs. And the cobblestones are not the most comfortable surface. Wear good shoes.
