I would like to give a brief review, concentrating on some points that come to mind, rather than a full blow by blow account, and also giving reasons for my views. I'm amazed how many reviewers say things like shows were poor, without giving any reason.

Firstly, I have seen many comments on the Caribbean Princess saying that it is in urgent need of a refit etc. This was our third Princess cruise (out of 5) and the ship was fine. We went on the Ruby when it was 18 months old and in terms of décor and fittings I would struggle to find any difference.

We were anytime dining as usual but found a useful way of getting a table for 2 without any waiting. One of the dining rooms is traditional only, one is anytime only and the other is early traditional changing to anytime from 7.15 pm. By accident (initially) we found that arriving at the latter (Coral) at around 7pm, there were always tables for 2 available. We did that 4 times, choosing to share and meet other people the other 3 evenings.
