This was our 22nd cruise, 3rd on NCL, the previous on the Jade and Sun. This ship doers not compare, it is beautiful, large but chopped into too many small venues. The crew was accommodating but they were working with a flawed system. NCL seems to have changed their philosophy on this ship. It is geared toward children/families and you are charged for everything including cookies and complimentary room service ($7.97 + 18% which does not mean free). More details as follows.

Rooms: rooms are very nice with excellent attendant although balcony is barely enough for two. However the previous cruisers left dirty laundry in the room which we had to call to have collected-a first for us which means was the room cleaned?

Food: main dining rooms , the food was bland and we had three meals returned(a first for us on any cruise) -two with unedible broccoli that was burnt and tasted with like plastic, the other so old it was flowering. the third the meal came cold. Service was good and these were kitchen problems. Also finer dining does not mean prepackaged creamer and butter. Specialty restuarants were what main dining room used to be. There was no shrimp or lobster except in the specialties. Buffet was basically cafeteria style with no carving stations. I considered NCL at the top with regards to food on our previous cruises. I ordered a beer with my meal and they brought me a bottle and just set it down. I had to ask for a glass. Mixed drinks were served at inside venues in plastic cups. Not what I would expect, after all this is not Carnival.
