There were four of us on this cruise: husband/wife in 30s, grandma in 60s, and a 2 year-old.

Our mini-suite cabin was great. We liked our steward, and we were very comfortable.

The food was majorly disappointing on this cruise.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

We loved our cozy cabin. It slept 4 comfortably (husband/wife in main queen bed, grandma + 2 year-old in sofa bed).

We were originally planning to have a pack'n'play in the room, which turned out to be too small for our kiddo. Then we packed an inflatable toddler bed (Intex brand) for him, but when we got to the cabin, we decided to try having him sleep with Grandma; the inflatable bed would have taken every inch of space under the desk, blocking the path to the bathroom for the sofa bed sleeper, and very likely causing our son to wake up and bang his head on the desk. Although my son has never slept outside of a crib, or with anyone else, he did very well.

We were initially concerned about the extreme firmness of the sofa bed, but both sleepers were comfortable once the foam topper was added. The heavy double-thick curtains separating the two beds were awesome; they really gave the illusion of private space. Grandma was able to go out onto the balcony early in the morning (and close those heavy double-curtains, too) and no one seemed the wiser.

The bathroom was spacious enough. The toilet had a "privacy" etched glass door. (For parents -- we decided NOT to bring a toddler "potty" seat because of space concerns, but ended up not needing it. We just started having our son sit on the potty without it at home the day before, and he was easy-going after a day or so on the ship. Just don't flush around your kids, or they may be traumatized for life about the potty. Ship toilets are LOUD.) There was a (deep but not full-length) tub that was great for our 2 year-old. For the adults, I would be concerned that the shower ceiling may be too low for very tall passengers (there was plenty of room for our 5'9" guests). I couldn't measure, but if you're concerned, I would call the cruise line and ask what the height is in that space.

To keep organized, we brought a shoe organizer for the closet, small pop-up hampers for dirty clothes, and drawstring nylon bags to hold our bathroom products (which we were able to hang on the back of the bathroom door). The three adults tidied up, daily, before leaving the room, to keep it from getting too cluttered.

We asked our room steward to remove the coffee table to give us more space, as well as the contents of the mini fridge. We used strong magnets to hang newsletters, shore excursion tickets and restaurant reservation slips, by the door. While we would have preferred to have a microwave, we used the coffee pot to make hot water to heat bottles. We got milk from the Garden Cafe, just upstairs. Our steward, Arnold, was very friendly and seemed genuinely concerned with our comfort. All in all, we really liked our room and would choose it again.
