Boarding the ship was straight forward with no problems at all. We chose the freedom dining option which suited us, eating mostly in the horizon restaurant. For the black tie nights we ate in the medina, both were quite good and always something to eat. The entertainment was quite poor apart from Roy Walker who was very funny and a band called Caravan that were exceptional. Most of the others were the type we see on campsites and believe me we've seen a few. The age range on this cruise was a bit of a shock for us as they were about 75, the shows mostly reflected this. Waving a union jack and singing we'll meet again or ballroom/strictly dancing is not for us. If it wasn't for Roy and Caravan we would have had a lot of early nights. Drinks are about £4 a pint and £5.50 for a glass of wine. The sports bar seats about 90 at a push (1800 passengers), with the casino right next door and the noisy machines. Very annoying when trying to watch wimbledon. We did our homework and sorted our own excersions which saved at least half what the cruise was charging plus you have longer for pictures. The stops we made on this cruise were amazing especially with the weather on our side. Having said all this we would book with P&O again as it was value for money working out to be £72 each per night for room, food, entertainment and most importantly the destinations. All the staff were polite and friendly no matter what time of night or day.
Very spaciouse with plenty of storage areas, also clean and tidy. If all inside double cabins are like this with P&O then we will book with them again but not on this ship as it seems to be the norm for the age range on board.
