This was my first cruise and I was very impressed with the cruise experience overall. We had booked our flights through Royal Caribbean and had the night before the cruise in the Doubletree at Houston airport(and two nights after the cruise but thats another story!!)

We ate in the windjammer for all breakfasts bar one when we went to the dining room. The windjammer was great for breakfast plenty of choice. We never had any proble finding a seat. We also had lunch in the windjammer every day again no problems finding something to eat or a seat. The waiters came round frequently offering drinks. We ate dinner once in the windjammer but prefered the dining room. We had main sitting at 5.30 which was just a bit early. We had a table for 8 in the magic flute. 2 tablemates never showed up but the other two couples were lovely and we enjoyed meeting them for dinner. Dinner was ok nothing fancy but perfectly edible. Our waiter and assistant waiter were very attentive and always spoke to us when we met them elsewhere on the ship.

We enjoyed the entertainment especially the ice show, Etta May and Tony Tillman. We were a bit disappointed in the last nights entertainment Los Pampas Gauchos and would rather have seen the royal caribbean singers and dancers instead.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

We had booked a balcony guarantee so were happy with our allocation. The cabin was very spacious with lots of storage space and coat hangers. The location was fine with easy access to the cafe promenade. The walk to the back of the ship for dinner was good exercise. It was very quiet and peaceful out on the balcony
