This was our 4th Princess Cruise and our 2nd from Southampton,we are a couple in our late 60's and my wife had just completed lung cancer treatment a month prior to sailing, other departures from Southapton (including those with P&O have all been well organised and with priority boarding fairly quick, but this time it was utter pandemonium they told us it was to do with security checks well we waited a long time to get to check in let alone security and when we did it was a farce, belt and shoes removed for what! Can you imagine the time it takes some old cruisers to get things on and of and I am aware of the current security situation but they need to use a little common sense.
When we eventually arrived at our cabin it held no surprises clean and enough space for 2 people to hang their clothing,as usual we were attended by our cabin steward fairly soon after arrival and he turned out to be like all eastern(Pillipine) people cheerful and polite and kept the cabin in a clean and tidy state.
We were any time dining as we prefer the flexibility and in the past it has worked well for us but not this time we asked for a table for 2 and were asked if we would share well what's the point in asking for a table for 2 if we want to share, anyway we were given a pager and retired to the bar area 50 minutes later we get a table never have we and others had so long to wait and this was not a one off instance.
We have been many times and it's still a favourite port of call just more and more pickpockets down Las Ramblas.
Not impressed a graffitied town.
How many times can you be impressed by the wonders of Florence.
Visited it many times before never get bored with it
A port good for duty free.
