My daughter and are embarked on our very first cruise this spring on the Celebrity Constellation. We travelled from Nova Scotia Canada all the way to Venice, Italy, where we met our cruise ship. We were in Venice for a good part of 2 days; Dubrovnik, Croatia for 2 days; Kotor, Montenegro; Corfu Greece; Katakolon, Greece; Valletta, Malta and ended our cruise in Rome, Italy.
We were in a balcony cabin 7018 which had "partial obstructions". These obstructions were simply the white bracing "posts" on each side - they hardly obstructed our view at all. We were very pleased with our cabin. We loved the Celebrity Constellation. Everyone on board was so very friendly and very quick to please. Captain Tasos had the most hilarious sense of humour. We enjoyed the "banter" back and forth with the cruise director, Mark, during the cruise. The entertainment directors, Shawna and Andreas were quite hilarious as well. We LOVED the Cafe el Bacio coffee shop; the relaxed atmosphere, great staff (Metin and Viktor) and live music at the Rendevouz lounge; the "games", etc hosted by the entertainment team; relaxing on the top pool deck; the Live Production Shows; the wonderful dishes to choose from every evening at dinner; great food at the breakfast buffet; Bistro on Five - banana nutella and mediterranean crepes were delicious!
Celebrity did an excellent job at trying to keep everyone sanitized with hand sanitizer stations and "servers" to make sure most people sanitized before going into the eating areas and getting onboard the ship. The ice cold towels and drinks were very appreciated when arriving back on the ship each day after the very "hot" temperatures we experienced during our days in ports.
7018 was listed as having "obstructed views". The only obstruction was the white framing "posts" on each side. There was very little of our view obstructed. 7018 was a very quiet cabin - we had no issues with anything at all.
We loved Dubrovnik- what a beautiful area! On the first day, we just walked off the ship and along the waterfront to a few shops, local restaurants and even a nice park. The second day, we took a 6 hour tour with a local tour company Cheap Dubrovnik Tours - the guide, Igor was excellent!
We loved Kotor - We just walked in from the pier and enjoyed the local shopping, fresh fruit/veggie market, a local "hole in the wall" spot to eat. Very beautiful port!
A nice port to just take the local bus in to the center of town or even walk - we walked back to the ship along the waterfront, and it was very nice and not too far. We enjoyed the local shopping and restaurants in Corfu.
