My wife and I are ardent cruisers having sailed twenty plus times with the major providers. We have just returned from the 'Greek Islands & Turkish Delights' cruise. This was without doubt the finest cruise we have ever been on. I had read some of the reviews on this and other sites about the ships condition and decoration but have to say that most of the problems we observed were trivial and minor cosmetic flaws.
What set this cruise far above other lines was the enthusiasm and friendliness of both the staff and crew. These were people who were happy and achieving a great deal of job satisfaction from from ensuring their customers were happy.
Every detail of the cruise was exceptional. Variation of restaurant and cafeteria opening times sympathetically adjusted to daily activities, The open bridge policy and the variety of food on offer.
The cabin was a good size although a bit of a squeeze between the bed and desk area if the seat was in use.
The Queen size bed was comfortable and the linen good quality and smelt fresh.
Cosmetics, mini bar and water were regularly checked and replenished.
Overall cleanliness was good and housekeeping efficient.
A pleasant place to stroll around. The Fort is worth the visit.
A mix of old and new that is within easy walking distance of the port.
If not overcrowded use the chair lift to Thira. An iconic village with picture postcard views. We were going to have lunch but could find no reasonable priced venues.
