We decided to take the kids on their first cruise (10 and 6 year old girls). The wife and I have cruised before for business (long story). Ever since then we had a positive view on cruises, and really enjoyed ourselves. I will admit traveling with kids is tough enough, and being cramped in a stateroom didn't appeal to me, but we booked a Suite thinking this would be enough room for the family, we were able to do this reasonably (Compared to other travelers on the cruise).
The port location in Baltimore is convenient from home, no added expense for airfare, park your ride at the terminal and board the ship. The service from the moment you pull in the terminal is excellent, friendly, helpful service with a smile. If you have the option to book PRIORITY Boarding then I would recommend you do this, especially when your kids have the attention span of an ant. Otherwise you will be waiting for a long time to get your paperwork and get on board.
The cabin was spacious as described, plenty of space, clean and orderly with all of the necessities for a comfortable voyage. Needless to say, the only time we were in the cabin was to sleep, change, or take a break between activities. The staff does a great job to keep the room clean and stocked.
Very nice, clean and comfortably sleeps four. Plenty of storage and a balcony in order to do some sight seeing when you get the chance.
