Sail Date: Jun 2015
Cabin: Superior Deluxe Balcony Stateroom

We enjoyed a 40th Wedding Anniversary Cruise to the Baltic that left Southampton on 20th June 15.

The ship was spotless, the staff were immaculately turned out and it was obvious that they were “happy bunnies” [ unlike some recently encountered on Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth]

We were on a Strictly Come Dancing Theme Cruise and the dance professionals did not disappoint.

Cabin Review

Superior Deluxe Balcony Stateroom

Cabin CA

Spacious and well equipped with two independent flat screen televisions.

En-suite had bath and shower over.

Poor shower-head pressure however water is at a premium when 3,100 passengers are on board. Quality White Company soaps etc. Good fluffy towels but continental quilt was a bit lacking in quality. Excellent fully reclining loungers on balcony. Annoying trumpeting noise from ships funnels at regular intervals was irritating. Good sized fridge but not quite cold enough.

We both, like others suffered a debilitating chest condition attributed to the air-conditioning system that cannot be switched off in the rooms.

Port Reviews

Helsinki

Clean and cosmopolitan

Tallinn

Surprisingly sophisticated with several extremely expensive shoe and handbag shops.

Estonian women dress sense is worth copying. Seemingly Tallinn is now a venue for stag parties.

Stockholm

Weather was poor and thought Stockholm was perhaps colourless and somewhat disappointing

Copenhagen

Lovely and clean wand friendly.

Oslo

Interesting port with magnificent Palace and main attractions within walking distance.
