With this being my 25th cruise, I will give you the straightforward truth about this ship. We sailed on June 6. My family ages are 50 (me), 47, and two sons 19 and 16. We also traveled with my sons girlfriend for a cabin of five. I have been on all the major cruise lines Celebrity, Disney, RCCL, Norwegian, Princess, and this was our 4th Carnival Cruise. We love Carnival because we truly enjoy the plethora of activities on their ships. Well here goes:
Embarkation and Disembarkation: Love Port Canaveral; parking is a breeze, terminal is very clean and organized. We drove in from Pennsylvania straight through and remembered what a great port this is. Parking is reasonable $15 a day, garage is right by ship. We were on the ship in 15 minutes and off in 15 minutes; use self assist it is the ultimate way to exit.
Ship Layout and Miscellaneous: Yes the ship is overcrowded but know where the venues are and you will be fine. Just walk to front or aft of ship before going up, eateries and sports courts in aft, theatre is in front. Sunrise restaurant in midship. Okay; positives: serenity area is nice and we planned our times around decreased traffic. Pool is small and occupied by drinkers. The water slides, rope course, mini golf are all excellent and not overcrowded utilize them. Love how the basketballs and golf equipment are readily available. Big screen movies at night is a plus.
