Two things ruined this trip, when we booked, we were told they used United or Delta for the flight from NY, eventually, they booked us at the back of the bus on Aeroflot 10 abreast seating! We would have never made the booking had we known. When we booked the Viking staff member told us this was the best cabin, it turned out that cabin 419 was immediately below the piano in the bar and it was impossible to go to sleep before midnight, we complained but to no avail. We think Viking, being successful are inclined to disregard you, you paid your money and they don't care. Finally, we gave the booking to a Travel Agent close friend of ours (after we booked it) from then onwards, Viking would not answer ay questions re the trip and said they could only deal with the travel agent which seemed rather ridiculous to us. We used Cunard as the Gold Standard, Viking could learn a lot from them. No more river cruises for us.
