We have been on several ocean cruises and had enough of the giant ships. We decided to give river cruising a try and were so happy we chose the AmaSonata. The whole experience, from the moment we got on, until our departure from the Prague extension, left nothing to be desired. The staff was incredibly friendly... A big shoutout and thanks to our waiters, Janos and Alex. They anticipated our every need. The food was delicious with many local touches and the wines kept flowing.

The ports were very interesting and, with the exception of Linz, beautiful, historic and so "European". However Linz was also the starting point for the Alpine Lake Region tour..perhaps the most extraordinary scenery ever!!

The cabins, though not huge, were spacious enough..(happy we had a balcony). Read more
