We just got back from out Freedom of the Seas, Eastern Caribbean cruise on Sunday. We had an awesome time! It is a beautiful, well maintained ship.

There are 3 different pool areas; adult only, one for everyone, and kiddie area. They were all very large. I actually liked to kiddie one best because you could just walk through it and get squirted off to cool down. The water in the adult area and the other one that was mainstream for all had a bit too warm water. If you wanted to be cooled down, they wouldnt really do it. But, there were tons of lounge chairs, and nice warm towels given to anyone who needed one. They also have the movie screen over the main pool area where they have movies every night. They had some great bands singing at the pool area also.

The Windjammer buffet area was nice. It gets crowded and sometimes we had to walk around a few minutes to find an empty table. But, the staff tries very hard to clean the tables off quickly. The food was pretty close to the same every day for breakfast and lunch. You would see a few new dishes. I never ate supper in there. The food was good for the most part. Desserts seemed to be a lot of the mousse/gel type which werent all that great. The cheesecakes were pretty good. There were fried eggs for breakfast which was very good. They also give you a bigger variety of drinks in there; mango water, kiwi water, lemonade, tea. The fruit waters were good. The staff in there are very courteous and offer to bring you anthing you need and are very fast to remove any dirty dishes. There is also fresh squeezed orange juice from a machine (for and additional price; which is included in all drink packages), which is very good.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin G

Our cabin was one of the recent additions in the refurbishment. Our window was huge; about 5 feet tall. It was basically the entire back wall. The room was great. The only complaint I have was that it got a bit warm at night. We like it very cold at night. We asked for a fan, but they didn't have any. They were able to adjust the thermostat slightly. I loved the door they have in the bathroom for the shower. So much better than the curtain in other ships. You dont get water all over the floor with the door. Great water pressure. Sound proof even though we were right outside the main dining room area. This is an excellent location.
