As first time cruisers we were not sure what to expect. This was an amazing experience from start to finish. We travelled from Toronto the day before we set sail and were blown away by Vancouver, the airport was extremely user friendly and the connection to downtown via the Canada LIne subway was direct, easy, efficient and economical-only $15.00 for two of us! There were plenty of helpful transit/tourism folks around to guide us-what a difference from Toronto! We spent the night at the beautiful Marriott Downtown Pinnacle Hotel which was only a short 15 minute walk from the Waterfront Station. When we arrived at the pier for embarkation we found that there was another ship also preparing to sail that day and were concerned by the number of folks in line for processing-our concerns were unnecessary! From our time of arrival at pier at 11:00 A.M. to getting aboard with a complimentary glass of champagne took less than an hour. The Ocean View Café was open for lunch and our staterooms were available by 1 P.M. The Infinity was immaculate and the crew first rate. We were in Aqua Class (Cabin 9083) and the food and service in our dedicated restaurant BLU were exceptional. Our cabin was spotless and spacious with plenty of storage and with the balcony provided a quiet place to sit and watch the ever changing scenery.

Entertainment was top notch with something for everyone-from a quiet corner with a piano player to easy listening duos to full production shows in the theatre there was always something to see and do. A highlight was the Canada Day Celebration in the Grand Foyer-what a treat to sing "O Canada" with our fellow passengers and many of the ship's Officers.

The weather co-operated for the most part, our time at the Hubbard Glacier was spectacular, bright sunshine. Captain Michael rotated the ship a full 360 degrees so everyone had view of this magnificent wonder. The rain began as we were beginning our journey to Juneau but did not dampen our spirits as we went ashore for the "Town, Tram, Trek and Tea excursion. Logistics of excursions booked through Celebrity was well done, with priority for leaving the ship via tender at Icy Straight Point or gangway at Juneau and Ketchikan timely and orderly-everyone got where they were going on time.

Port Reviews

Vancouver

Arrived the day before the cruise and was immediately impressed by the efficient airport and connection to downtown via the Canada Line. Will definitely return to explore this beautiful city.
